I wrote a cookbook!!! I’m so excited to finally get to share this with you, I have been working on this book for so long and I hope you love it as much as I do!
Some of my fondest memories as a kid were the three weeks my mama, sister and I would spend in Munich with my Oma and Opa. Every morning, my sister and I got to go down to the local bäkerei (bakery) and pick out what we wanted for breakfast. To me, that was magical— anything I wanted. On special afternoons, we would go with either my Oma or Opa to a cafe and get to pick out any slice of cake. To me, that was my candy store. On other days, we would be walking around Munich and stop to get ice cream. As a kid, the food, and especially the sweets, were one of the best parts of every day. As I got older, things like spending time with my grandparents became the priority, but the food was always there. It was always a reason for us to sit down, pause and enjoy each other’s company.
Süss is a book that includes so many of my favorite memories in the form of recipes. I hope these bring back or create new memories for you and your favorite people 🤎
