Grießbrei

  • 1 liter milk
  • 135 grams cream of wheat

Toppings

  • 50 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 50 grams pecans chopped
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 123 grams raspberries

Instructions

  • Bring the milk to a boil in a medium sauce pot.
  • Stir regularly to prevent it from burning.
  • Continue whisking and pour in the cream of wheat.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and continue cooking and whisking until it has reached your desired thickness. About 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve into 4 bowls and top with desired toppings.

Notes

This grießbrei tastes best right after being cooked. However, it can also be stored in the fridge in an airtight container for 3-4 days and reheated when you want to enjoy it.
